STAY IN [Documentary and Chill?]

So, it’s [insert day of the week here] you’re stuck at home- and you don’t know what to watch. You’re all Stranger Things-ed out and you don’t even know the answers to the Jeopardy questions.

Don’t worry. I got you.

Below is a list of documentaries paired with feelings that come along with said doc. Choose your feelings wisely + enjoy.

Feelings: FASCINATED + ENRAGED
The Imposter [2012]
A documentary centered on a young man in Spain who claims to a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who has been missing for 3 years.

Feelings: HEARTBROKEN + APPALLED
Mommy Dead & Dearest [2017]
In this documentary, the murder of Deedee Blanchard by her daughter Gypsey Rose is explored, as well as the circumstances leading up to the event.
Follow this gem up with the recent series ‘The Act’ if you want some more. [I recommend that ‘The Act’ be watched after watching the Mommy Dead & Dearest doc.

Feelings: OPTIMISTIC, CURIOUS + PERPLEXED
Three Identical Strangers [2018]
My lanta, this one will rock you. In 1980 New York, three young men who were all adopted meet each other and find out they’re triplets who were separated at birth [what!!]. But their quest to find out why turns into a bizarre and sinister mystery…

Feelings: DISTRESSED + ANXIOUS
There’s Something Wrong with Aunt Diane [2011]
*Note there are some graphic images*
The accident made national headlines: a suburban mother drove the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway in upstate New York and crashed head-on into an SUV, killing herself and seven others. In the aftermath, Diane Schuler was portrayed as a reckless drunk and a mother who cracked. But was she the monster the public made her out to be…or the perfect wife and mother that many say she was?

Feelings: FRUSTRATED + ANGRY
Dear Zachary [2008]
I have pumped this movie since the moment it fell into my hands- by a legitimate accident. Blockbuster was closing and I was, up to my nose in DVD’s when I saw this gem on the floor. Knowing nothing about it I picked it up and from that moment on it has been something I cannot stop thinking about.
A filmmaker decides to memorialize a murdered friend when his friend’s ex-girlfriend announces she is expecting his son.

Let me know what you think about all or any of the above. I’ve got way more where that came from: consider this a sneak-peek!
